Who Plans the Bridal Shower?

Traditionally the brides maid of honor is the host of the shower, with the bridesmaids helping out. However, tradition does not dictate things as much now, as people have decided that their weddings should be a form of self expression more than simply following of all the traditions. It is not uncommon to attend a shower hosted by one parent or the other, a sibling, a group of friends such as a church group, or even hosted by the bride herself.
