What is Corduroy?

Corduroy is a type of fabric, usually cotton based. It is characterized by the ribbing in the fabric. It looks a bit like a corrugated cardboard box. Corduroy is popular for slacks, overalls, jumpers and sports coats. Corduroy is also a cute little stuffed bear from children's story.
