In order to sew Velcro to fabric, you will need to pin the Velcro onto the fabric where it should be. Then sew the velcro just inside the perimeter all the way around.

You can sew Velcro to fabric using your sewing machine. Make sure to set the tension to medium or heavy. Use a new needle and put a lubricant on it. Use the zipper foot and move the needle right to left making sure not to sew through the loops or hooks. If you find this too difficult you could always glue the Velcro on. That's what I do most of the time.
