There are two ways - spray with pesticide, but this is dangerous or the United States Department of Agriculture has a program to eradicate all boll weevils and so far they have managed in many states.

Killing a boll weevil is probably as easy as stepping on it, but the cotton growers have or had a much larger problem with them and use insecticides. They apply the insecticides four to five times during the growing season.
