How do I Make Flower Buttonholes? |
|
Glad you asked...
I recently turned a white cardigan sweater into the prettiest creation with flower button holes. I bought two stems of silk daisies and pulled them off the stems. I pulled out the center of the daisy and sewed it onto the sweater around the button hole. Now the center of the daisy is my button hole. I went a step further and replaced the white buttons with yellow ones which now makes the center of my daisies yellow when my sweater is buttoned.

Then again, this answer might help you...
You can make a flower buttonhole by getting a flower and cutting the stem off but not all the way off. Then you will push a wire through the flower and wrap it around the stem. Then you take another wire and do the same. Then you take some ivy leaves and do the same as with the flower. You will need green tape to put over the wires and stem of the flower.
